Radiohead bring The King of Limbs to the BBC

The King of Limbs, like any recent Radiohead album, is a real grower. I’ve had it on constant rotation for the last few weeks and it is a worthy follow-up to In Rainbows. This is a band that many have dismissed as “pretentious” or even “depressing”, but you should ignore such criticism. Few British rock bands are as creative as Radiohead and while their sound is divisive, it’s entirely their own.

NME are reporting that the band are set to play the album in its entirety as part of the BBC’s From the Basement series. Neil Godrich (who produced Limbs) is at the helm so a great show is more or less expected. It is due to air on 1st July.

Here’s the lead single from the album, which is currently 7th in the UK chart and the first since The Bends not to reach number 1. Shameful.
