Witness the last days of Black Flag in this full-length documentary

Few bands are as synonymous with a genre as Black Flag. The hardcore punks defined that sound with their 1981 classic Damaged, and despite constant personnel changes – Greg Ginn being the only constant member – their music has stood the test of time. You might not understand their appeal, but you should be able to chart the influence they had on underground music at the time.

Filmmaker David Markey followed the band on their final tour in 1986, and the results have been posted online for all to see. This is an eye-opening documentary that is sure to delight fans of the storied band. Via a tweet from Henry Rollins and Markey’s Vimeo page, Reality 86′d really caught my attention. Even as a casual Black Flag listener, I found it pretty fascinating.
